- Consistent use of lamps & speakers - neutral listening experience as a simulated podcast that can be experienced from either end of hallway
- Pendant lamps - reference to story telling around a bonfire & notion of being 'enlightened' while spotlighting viewer
- Blue space - color theory argues that blue creates a productive and focused environment which will encourage audience to fully engage in listening, looking, and feeling the hallway as a passage of communication, story telling, and perspective in dealing with the past
- Vibrantly colored walls and floor - remove viewer from the formal setting of gallery and clearly mark the space as artwork
- Carpeted floor - the fabric absorbs sound for a quieted domestic environment/comfortable space to relax viewer and better connect/respond to the stories in relation to their own dealings with the past
- Text & contour drawings on walls - guide the viewer through space visually with accents next to each 'lamp' through use of small text showing an intriguing excerpt from the audio story to pull in the listener
