Installation Process

PRE-GALLERY

  1. Create prototype of a single lamp/speaker station & test equipment
  2. Prepare audio & surround sound DVD
  3. Solder speaker wire & cap off lamp wires to 3-prong electrical chord
  4. Design & order vinyl designs (text & line drawings)
  5. Purchase painting materials, lamps, speakers, lumber, brackets, & carpet
  6. Cut 1x6 inch pine boards @ 7 ft, drill hole in center, stain, & attached brackets to one side
  7. Create equipment shelf (15 x18 x1 inches + shelf brackets) & paint white
  8. Post iTunes series & market project

IN GALLERY

  1. Paint two 50ft x 9ft walls indigo blue (masked at top, 2 coats)
  2. Mount five 1x6 inch boards 9ft high horizontally across hallway using shelf/L brackets
  3. Mount five lamps/base into boards, string chords through drilled hole, plug in electrical in lighting track at side of ceiling
  4. Mount five horn speakers @ 6 ft off ground on alternating sides of hallway
  5. Run bunched speaker wires along top corner (in wire cover) of ceiling or behind ceiling tiles
  6. Mount one shelf 9ft from ground to house receiver & DVD player
  7. Plug speaker wires into receiver, receiver & DVD player into surge protector, & DVD player into receiver
  8. Roll out 7x50 foot blue carpet & secure
  9. Test audio volume levels & re-burn DVD if necessary
  10. Put up 5 areas of vinyl lettering and line drawings (sticker sheets under 5 speakers)
