Stop Motion Soundtracks, March
A few months ago I recorded various domestic sounds using a zoom mic, and then layered several of these tracks in Audacity to create sound for a stop motion video. The original sound came from a whistling recording which was manipulated through different filters, changing its speed and pitch. From that point I needed a consistent sound or marker to tie the audio with the visuals, so I incorporated an electronic sounding beep at the switch of each frame. This addition was received very well, plus white noise to complement visual static, but the crescendo of imagery is not as readily identifiable within the soundtrack. With this in mind, I will revisit this soundtrack to add in more volume and chaos, plus some knife chopping noises to reference the act of cooking.
