Sound Experiments, April

I am pleased with my recent creation of a soundtrack edited to complement a stop motion video showing a simple domestic task that literally spells out words asking the viewer to look beyond the surface, or action. Therefore, I have I continued with this project in creating more stop motion videos with similar content. In post production I layered audio tracks that pace the visuals through an electronic beeping noise, played over static and related domestic sounds. These soundtracks crescendo, both visually and audibly, towards the end of the video to create a mood of gradual chaos as a reaction to the redundancy of under appreciated domestic tasks.

In this process I revisited zoom mic recordings of domestic and industrial noises, Reason software to create a musical composition, Audacity software to layer and manipulate the audio tracks, and lastly, I have sequenced the resulting pieces in Final Cut Pro as one continuous video.
